Ian Seddon
Ian studied Piano with Richard Booth and Marie Taylor in Wigan from
the age of six and Organ at Wigan Parish Church with one of Francis Jackson’s pupils, AGD (David) Cutter. He later studied Organ at Blackburn Cathedral with David Cooper and at Manchester with Derek Cantrell.
A salaried Church Organist/Choirmaster continuously from his early teens, Ian was Organist & Director of Music at St Peter, Hindley (home of the famous Schulze Organ) for ten years before coming to Broughton.
Ian has been Assistant Organist at Broughton since 1994. He holds the ARCO Diploma from the Royal College of Organists and the Fellowship in Pianoforte from the London College of Music to which he has recently
been appointed to the panel of examiners.
