Broughton Church Choir Coffee Morning 2010

BROUGHTON
CHOIR

13th March 2010
Dear Parent / Choirmember
Don’t be misled: it’s more than just a Coffee Morning’ read the headline in this month’s ‘Outlook. I think everyone present this morning would agree. It was a fabulous event, and I write to say a big thank you for your tremendous support.
At ten o’clock the hall looked absolutely wonderful; full of attractive stalls (certainly a few novelties again this year), every one adorned by some very attractive posters, and piled high with goods and prizes, and it came as no surprise when the final total for the morning was revealed; a magnificent £2,674.00!
It was a wonderful ‘choir - family’ effort. Thank you to the boys who worked so hard prior to the event and on the day; to the parents and choir adults who attended those planning meetings (clearly very productive!) and manned the stalls; to the ladies who ran our delightful ‘Café St Martin’ and the gentlemen who produced those splendid bacon butties ; to our superb auctioneer; to our treasurer; to the men and boys who worked in chilly conditions cleaning all those salt-covered vehicles; and to everyone who supplied so many items for the stalls, prizes for the raffle, wonderful cakes, buns, hot-cross buns, bacon etc etc.
But most of all, on a big thank-you to Donna Gaukrodger and Elizabeth Cross for masterminding such a fabulous event.
It was indeed a wonderful morning.
Yours sincerely
John Catterall
Don’t forget tomorrow when we have a cake stall after the morning Service...
and outside the Church we will be selling garden plants at very attractive prices.
The snow has gone, spring has arrived; make your garden the envy of your neighbours!
Mr John Catterall
